- Online Training sessions are conducted through the internet and telephone with an individual or small group from your company. Online meeting technology allows the trainer and trainees to share a computer screen, essentially replicating an in-person environment.

| The Service Request Module expands your options for receiving asset service requests, making them easier to organise and manage. This module allows people to send asset service requests by email into the special Requests area of PMXpert, eliminating the need to install PMXpert on every person’s computer. The request emails only need to contain basic information about the asset and service required, which is an advantage when the individuals sending these requests do not know the terminology of your maintenance department. |
Instead of allowing non-technical users to disorganise your system by entering information directly into PMXpert, you will direct all service requests in your facility to the designated email address. The maintenance manager can review the recorded requests, assign the requests to the appropriate assets and create work orders, all in a few easy steps in the same screen. |

Q. I never use the calendar, so I don’t need to see the Calendar button at the top of PMXpert, or… Help! – my Assets button is missing and I don’t know how to get to the Assets Screen! How can I choose the header buttons that appear across the top of PMXpert?
|
A: Select Setup | System Settings from PMXpert’s main menu and click on the General tab. Under Header Buttons, select the checkboxes next to the header buttons that should appear across the top of the PMXpert screen. To change the order of the buttons, click on a header in the list and drag and drop it into a new position. The top header in the vertical list will be the farthest left button along the top of the screen. When you have selected the appropriate buttons and adjusted the order, click Save. |
Even if a certain header button has been unselected and does not appear at the top of PMXpert, you can still access that screen. Simply click on View in PMXpert’s main menu and select the screen you want to view. |

Did You Know …that you can save time and make data entry much easier by using PMXpert’s Import Templates? Instead of manually entering similar information over and over, you can use these templates to quickly and easily import the required details. There are four different types of import templates. Use the Supplier Inventory Import Template to import a supplier’s list of available inventory, which will update part number changes, price changes and new items in your inventory. Import part/fluid lists onto assets with the Asset Inventory Import Template. The Asset Meter Import Template makes it easy to update current asset meters in the Meter Update screen. Finally, the Costing Import Template is used to import cost entries from external data sources like automated fuelling systems. For more information, refer to Chapter 1: Setting Up PMXpert, Step 13: Import Templates in the PMXpert User Manual. |
There are other PMXpert Imports that can save you time, too. Using lists of records contained in a CSV file, Excel spreadsheet or Access Database, you can import Companies and People into your Address Book, Inventory Detail into a Work Order and Detail into a Purchase Order. Refer to Chapter 1: Setting Up PMXpert, Step 9: Address Book, Chapter 5: Work Orders, Import Work Order Inventory Detail and Chapter 7: Purchase Orders, Import Purchase Order Detail in the PMXpert User Manual. |
