Reschedule Services in a Work Order
The Reschedule Services option in the Work Orders menu allows you to reschedule multiple work order Services across multiple Work Orders.
1.
From the Work Orders menu, select Reschedule Services.
2.
The Select Assets window appears. All Assets Services on an Open-type status Work Order will appear in the selection grid. You can reschedule one or multiple services.
a.
To limit the services that appear in the list, click the Filter button. To review how to set a filter, see Chapter 1: Introduction, Common Functions: Filter Information.
b.
To reschedule one Service, click to highlight the relevant service.
c.
To reschedule multiple Services, multi-select the services by holding down the Ctrl button and clicking on the services you want to reschedule.
3.
When you have selected the services, click OK.
4.
The Reschedule Information dialog appears. Choose the new date from the drop-down calendar.
5.
If you like, you can set a different Status for the Work Order(s) that contain the services you are rescheduling. You may want to do this if, for example, Work Orders have been set to Overdue, but are now no longer overdue because the services have been rescheduled to a later date. Click the Set Status button. In the Set Status dialog, select the status and click OK. You will only be able to choose from "Open" type statuses. Review Chapter 2: Setting Up PMXpert, Step 8: Status Codes, Create Status Codes.
6.
Click OK to finish rescheduling the services.
7.
Note that when you edit the Scheduled Date of a Service in a Work Order, you may be updating the Next Scheduled Date of the Service in Asset Setup, depending on the Update the Asset Service Schedule Date when Changing the Work Order Service Schedule Date System Setting. If you chose the Always option, and change the Scheduled Date of the Service on the Work Order, the next Scheduled Date of the Asset Service in Asset Setup will be changed and locked at the date you select. If you chose Never, and change the Scheduled Date on the Work Order, the Next Scheduled Date of the Asset Service in Asset Setup will stay at its original date. See Chapter 2: Setting Up PMXpert, Step 3: System Settings, Work Orders.
